Why a Website?

Plain and simple, I love making pictures! My name is Megan, and I see with light and lines and colour and want be able to share this with anyone who appreciates the world around them this way too.  My beautiful country of Namibia features strongly; a land of contrasts and beauty, spaces, and smiles.

I would like to keep the site clean and clutter free, so will feature only a minimal number of photographs at a time that will be updated regularly. Photo stories can be found under the MEMORABLE tab.

If you would like to use or share my photographs in any way, please remember they are copyrighted.  I would appreciate it if you could ask me first and credit them to 24atlantic.com

Most of my images are aimed at being printed as wall art, as I believe photographs should be printed and displayed, not hidden away on a hard drive. The IMAGE SALES tab will take you to my PicFair store where image files or prints are sold professionally and with the correct licences, and shipped all over the world.

Bits and Pieces

I photograph with:  Fujifilm X-Pro 2, X-H1, and X100S

I focus with:  Fufifulm XF 10-24mm f4, XF 50-140 f2.8, XF 35mm f2, Lensbaby Sweet 35 and Optic 80 with Composer Pro, and I did keep my Canon 100mm Macro when I moved over to Mirrorless, that I use with a Fringer adaptor.

I process with:  Exposure X6 (and only on a Mac!)

I believe: a good photograph is knowing where to stand

I love:  hi-key, light and shadows, monotone, lines, textures, breaking the rules, soft focus, minimalism, bokeh, ICM, backlight, the golden hours.

I am inspired by: Kaisa Siren  David du Chemin , Amy Spadacini Photography and so many others!
